About
Built by operators who lived the problem
18+ years building software inside complex organizations across healthcare, finance, government and regulated industries. The answers always existed, nobody could find them.
Our story
The answers always existed. Nobody could find them.
For over eighteen years, Code Particle has built software inside complex organizations, across healthcare, finance, government and other regulated industries. The same pattern showed up everywhere: teams sitting on years of valuable knowledge they couldn't actually reach when it mattered.
Modly grew out of that frustration. Not another place to store information, but a layer that connects to the knowledge a company already has, and makes it answerable, in plain language, with the source attached.
The pattern
What we kept seeing
Across eighteen years of building software for organizations in healthcare, finance, government, and other regulated industries, the same pattern kept surfacing. The answers already existed. Nobody could find them.
An engineer spent Friday afternoon rebuilding context from Slack scrollback and stale wiki pages, only to arrive at a decision the team had already made, and forgotten, six months earlier.
A salesperson prepared for a customer renewal by opening seven browser tabs, reconciling a proposal with a signed contract with three CRM notes with a support ticket, trying to answer one question: what have we actually promised this account?
A compliance officer reviewed a policy that had been superseded twice and never marked. The current version existed. Nobody was sure where.
We watched teams build good software on top of knowledge they couldn’t reach. We watched employees leave, and the "how" and "why" of years of decisions leave with them.
Every organization we worked with had already invested in the knowledge. What was missing was a layer to make it reachable, not another repository, another search bar, or another chatbot bolted on top. A layer where the organization’s own knowledge became something both people and AI could reason over, together.
That’s what we’re building.
Our mission
Intelligence shouldn't be limited by licensing.
We're building the modular AI infrastructure layer that lets any organization access, automate, and operationalize its own knowledge, with trust built in from the very first answer.
Why "modular"
Modular AI, not a monolith
Bring your model
GPT, Gemini, Claude, or a model you host yourself. Modly stays model-agnostic so you're never locked in.
Bring your sources
Docs, code, tickets, chat and CRM connect in, new integrations ship every week.
Bring your rules
Every answer respects each person's existing permissions, and leaves an audit trail behind it.
A Code Particle product
Built on two decades of shipping real software
Modly is made by Code Particle, a product and engineering studio that has spent nearly twenty years building software for organizations with deep documentation, sensitive customer data, and regulated workflows.
That background is why trust, permissions and auditability aren't afterthoughts in Modly, they're the starting point.
